All Landen Meadows residents must register in
order to receive pool wristbands for your family.
Possession of a 2010 Wristband is mandatory for entering the pool gate.
GET THE REGISTRATION FORM HERE.
Please Print it, fill it out, and bring it with you to the pickup location
to receive your wristbands.
The pickup location will be at the Pool on the following Dates and Times:
Sat. 5/8, 5-7 PM ... Wed. 5/12, 11 - Noon ... Sun.
5/16, 4-6 PM ... Thurs. 5/20, 7-8 PM.
NO WRISTBANDS WILL BE GIVEN OUT AT THE POOL
AFTER THESE DATES - NO EXCEPTIONS

Hours of Swimming Pool Operation
The 2010 pool season will run from: May 22, 2010 through September 19, 2010.
FROM MAY 22ND - MAY 30th (Before
Memorial Day), the POOL WILL ONLY BE OPEN ON WEEKENDS (SAT & SUN).
IT WILL BE CLOSED ON WEEKDAYS PRIOR TO MEMORIAL DAY (MAY 31st).

- On school days after Memorial Day and before Labor Day, the pool will be open from 4:00PM until 8:00PM. The pool will be closed on weekdays before Memorial Day. The pool will be closed on weekdays after Labor Day.
Note: The pool will be closed for all scheduled swim meets. Swim meet dates are posted on the Swim Team Website, by the beginning of each season. Please take note of these dates and times. (In case of adverse weather, meet dates may be rescheduled.) Homeowners are invited to observe the meets.
Pool Tag (Wrist Band) Facts
(Revised - 5/12/2010)
- This is a mandatory policy. All Landen Meadows residents 10 years and older must display a pool band at all times when in the pool. If you do not have a band, you will not be allowed to enter the pool gates - NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
- Only residents, 10 years and older, who are current on their homeowner dues,
will be issued bands.
- Residents over 21 will be issued a green wristband
- Residents between the ages of 10 and 20 will be issued a blue wrist band.
The blue wristbands come in two sizes to fit the wrist. Please specify "youth"
or "adult" size if you need a replacement band.
- Any person witnessed consuming alcohol with a blue band OR - under 21 with
a guest pass - will be removed from the pool immediately. Any persons presenting
false identification for the purpose of consuming alcohol will be ejected and
the authorities will be contacted.
- The lifeguard must be able to visually scan the pool and see all bands. A guard will also be at the gate whenever possible to check bands as residents enter the pool area.
- Children 9 and under are not required to have a pool band. Per the pool rules, all residents 9 and under must be accompanied by a responsible party.
- Lost bands may be replaced for a fee of $5. ID numbers of lost bands will be recorded and will no longer be valid for use.
- Guest passes will be issued by the lifeguards. A Landen Meadows resident
must accompany guests at all times (See below for Guest Policy).
Guest Wrist Band Policy
- ONLY RESIDENTS WITH BANDS MAY SIGN IN GUESTS.
- RESIDENTS MAY NOT SIGN IN OTHER RESIDENTS AS GUESTS TO THE POOL
- ONLY A MEMBER OF POOL STAFF MAY ISSUE GUEST WRISTBANDS.
Any GUEST under 21, witnessed consuming alcohol, will be removed from the pool
immediately. Any persons presenting false identification for the purpose of
consuming alcohol will be ejected and the authorities will be contacted
- A VALID ID MUST BE SHOWN FOR GUESTS OVER 21
By entering the Landen Meadows neighborhood pool, you agree to the terms stated here, and to adhere to the rules of our pool. Pool rules are posted at the entrance, and pool handbooks are available for review upon request. Any resident whose guest presents a false identification during guest sign in will immediately have their pool privileges revoked. Violators will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
1.) Record the BAND NUMBER on the log sheet.
2.) Indicate if guest is 21 or older on the log sheet. (YES or NO)
3.) Record RESIDENT NAME (last, first) on the log sheet.
4.) Record RESIDENT TAG NUMBER on the log sheet.
5.) GUEST must PRINT their name AND provide a SIGNATURE.
6.) Record DATE on the log sheet.
7.) Record of guest shall be lined through with a single line across entire
row on log sheet to indicate that the guest has left the pool, but must remain
legible.
Swimming Pool Rules - General Rules
1. The Pool Manager and Lifeguards are empowered to enforce all rules. Please
remember that the lifeguards enforce the rules; they do not make them. These
rules are for your safety and for the safety of those around you.
2. Violation of pool rules will be grounds for pool privileges to be revoked
or suspended.
3. The cost of property damage due to negligence or abuse will be charged to
the responsible Homeowners' Association member.
4. A current Homeowners' Association roster will be maintained at the pool.
The Pool Manager and Lifeguards have been instructed to check the membership
roster in order to ensure that unauthorized persons are not permitted on the
premises.
5. Anyone entering the pool area must register themselves and their guests.
This is a Health Department rule.
6. Before entering the pool, you must take a shower.
7. Only Homeowners' Association members who are up to date with their Homeowners'
Association fees will be allowed to use the pool and recreation facility.
8. Please be courteous. Keep volume levels down. Dispose of trash in the proper
receptacles. Use ashtrays. Clean up food droppings and rinse spilled drinks.
Pick up any other messes that you or those for whom you are responsible have
made.

Pool Grounds
1. Members must observe the 10-MPH speed limit in the driveway and parking
lot of the recreation area (Walsham Drive from Delberry to Quintrell).
2. All bicycles, skateboards, etc., are to be parked in the bicycle rack.
Reserving the Pool and/or Cabana for a Party
The pool and/or cabana are available for parties during non-peak hours for no charge. Parties with 20 or more guests will be scheduled at the discretion of the Lifeguards. Reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact the Charlotte Swim Club Mgmt. directly @ 704-766-2726 to reserve a time slot for your party or to ask any questions about pool parties.
Pool Use
1. NO DIVING!!! NO RUNNING ON THE DECK!!!!!!
2. GLASS CONTAINERS ARE NOT PERMITTED INSIDE THE POOL GATE!!!! Under no circumstances
are glass containers of any kind allowed in the pool area, not even in coolers.
2. Bathing suits are the only attire permitted in the pool. Individuals wearing
Bermuda shorts, cutoff jeans or pants, etc., will not be allowed to enter the
pool.
4. Non-toilet-trained children must wear "Little Swimmers" with tight-fitting
plastic pants over them. No disposable diapers are allowed in either pool. "Little
Swimmers" pants will be available at the pool for a nominal cost of $1,
but do not rely on purchasing "Little Swimmers" from the Lifeguards
because only a limited quantity will be provided.
5. During adult swim, all children must remain behind the BLUE LINE (a minimum
of 3 feet from the pool) because there will be no Lifeguard on duty.
6. Admission will be refused to anyone with skin abrasions, colds, coughs, inflammed
eyes, infections, or bandages. Band-Aids cannot be worn in the pool.
7. Children under 10 years of age and non-swimmers of any age will not be permitted
in the pool area unless they are accompanied by a responsible party who will
keep a constant watch on them. Failure to adhere to any rules will result in
a loss of pool privileges.
8. Unaccompanied guests are not allowed in the pool or pool area. All guests
must be accompanied by a Landen Meadows resident.
9. Members and guests are not to engage in conversation with on-duty Lifeguards.
Please do not ask any staff member, especially the Lifeguards, to baby-sit your
children.
10. The wading pool is to be used by children 4 years of age and younger and
only when accompanied by a responsible sitter or adult.
11. Floats or appropriate inflation devices may be allowed in the pool at the
discretion of the Lifeguards. Kickboards may be used for lap swimming and instructional
use only. All parents are to be within arm's reach in the pool while any child
they are responsible for is using a flotation device.
12. No tennis balls, regulation footballs, or other small rubber balls are allowed
in the pool or pool area. The only balls allowed in the pool or pool area must
be made specifically for water.
13. Radios, etc., should be kept at an appropriate volume so that they do not
disturb other pool members or guests. Appropriate volume is judged to be the
volume that is distinguishable on the side of the pool the radio is on, but
indistinguishable on the opposite side of the pool. No music with lyrics that
could be considered offensive is allowed.
14. Any individual exhibiting odd behavior as a result of alcohol consumption
will be asked to leave the premises.
15. Food and drink must be consumed in an area more than 10 feet from the pool.
Trash must be placed in the proper receptacle before leaving the table. Sweep
or hose off the deck after eating to prevent ants. Do not leave open containers
on the tables because this attracts bees.
16. Chewing gum is not permitted in the pool area.
17. The use of the kitchen is limited to pool staff and Lifeguards only.
18. Pool furniture and accessories must be kept in their designated areas. Furniture
in the wading pool area must remain on the wooden deck.
19. No pets are allowed in the pool area. In addition, they should not be tied
to the pool fence.
20. Horseplay (for example, flipping or throwing children, standing on shoulders,
chicken fights, dunking, etc.) or any other unsafe or dangerous activities in
the judgment of the pool staff may result in disciplinary action or suspension.
21. Fighting and abusive or foul language are not allowed. Violators will be
asked to leave the pool area at the discretion of the pool staff.
22. Please refrain from leaning, hanging, or sitting on the lap lane floats.
23. "Super Soakers" or other squirting devices, skateboards, scooters,
and rollerblades are not allowed within the pool area.
Pool Rental
1. The pool is available to fully paid-up Homeowners' Association members for private functions after normal pool closing hours. Due to the proximity of neighboring homes, functions must end by 11:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and by midnight on Friday and Saturday.
LANDEN MEADOWS TENNIS ASSOCIATION RULES

- Hours: Play may begin at 6:00 a.m. (or dawn) and must end by 11 p.m. during
the months of June through August. Play must end by 10 p.m. during the months
of September through May. Adults have priority after 6:00 p.m.
- Attire: Proper tennis attire is required. This includes shirt, shorts, and
tennis shoes (that is, no track shoes, cleats, or "cleat-type" shoes
are to be worn on the court).
- Court Lights: The lights are on an automatic timer.
Additional Rules
- No horseplay, abusive language, or fighting is permitted.
- No skateboarding, bikes, roller-skates, roller-blades, scooters, etc., are
allowed on the tennis court. Tennis shoes only, please!
- Guests must be accompanied by a Landen Meadows Homeowners Association member.
- Please use common courtesy.
- Please loosen the nets upon completion of your game.
- Please note that there is a 10:00 p.m. Mecklenburg County noise ordinance.
- If you notice a burnt-out bulb at the tennis court, please contact a member
of the Homeowners' Association Board.
